Hi
I have been fancying a 2015 Z4 2Ltr but don't know much about this model and before I start showing an interest I would prefer to know a bit about what to look for like good/bad points?
Is the 2Ltr a straight six or a four pot turbo version? Whats the opinions about the performance out of these smaller cc.
Any info would be appreciated. :driving:

It will be a 4 pot turbo, I have the 28 version, which is very power wise comparable to my old 3.0, I believe the 2ltr turbo without mods is power wise, equivalent to the old 2.5, I haven't got the BHP figures to hand, im sure someone will soon tho, but the standard 2l turbo can be chipped to achieve quite a power gain, Smartbear is your man to answer that one

I just had a reply to a message I sent the owner asking the same question and he says its a 6 cylinder, Weird that because I thought they was 4 cylinder turbo. :? Its listed as a 2015 Z4 2Ltr S Drive M Sport.
All the evidence Marlon posted says the owner is wrong!

Sounds like the owner doesn't know what's under the hood of his own car :|

I think you right Marlon I messaged the owner again and he gave me his mobile number, when I questioned him he said, " Yes it has six. 1st 2nd 3rd" I stopped him there and said yeh I know its got six gears but how many spark plugs does it have? Ha Ha
I'm waiting now he's ringing BMW to ask. :) :)

You could ask him how many wheels it’s got & really confuse him :P

Or if it has an offside or a nearside. Or a flux capacitor...

The seller obviously isn't going to be a forum member then!

There was never a 2 litre Z4 with 6 cylinders - the nearest was the E85 2.2i!

Good luck OP.

As been said Bri ,the 2ltrs are 4 pot ,
I tried the 150 And the 180 bhp versions found them flat .however the 180 bhp can soon be chipped up to give a bit more go, the one badged up 2.8i i think would suit you better ,got bigger brakes too.
My 2 vert is a 4 pot with about 250 bhp and is quicker than mi 3 ltr z .
Go av a drive in one thats tha best way.

The 18 & 20i models can be remapped for more go than the 28i, they all have the same engine

Thanks for all the advice guys, I know that forum member Twin Turbo also had a 2Ltr 4 Pot and he had his either chipped or mapped and it gave him a lot more power, if he reads this maybe he will let me know just how much gain can be achieved? I don't believe that the naturally aspirated 6 pot responds much to mapping?
One thing I missed off the advert it doesn't state that it has heated seats, are they standard on the 2015 2Ltr M Sport?

Don't know if they come as standard but up here in the North East at the moment they are a must.
