Can't import music from USB stick

Anyone got the music import to work? I put the USB stick into the socket in the centre console and I can play tracks from it. I then push the iDrive knob to the right and select import/export. I then get a message saying that I need to plug a USB stick into the socket in the glove box - but there is not another USB socket there. Anybody know how to do this?

Not that important, but the option was there so I tried it :)

You are the first lucky person here who has the new Z4 - just 1 month after it was launched. We are jealous. :P

wellcome, to import music use usb under central armrest, the other one goes directly to nav interface, You can use it to download maps and upgrades...

After many attempts I looked up into the glove box from below, and there was the USB socket :headbang:

If you put the USB stick in the socket in the glove box you can import the music into the car's "music collection", but not play directly from the USB stick.

On the other hand, if you put the USB stick into the socket in the centre console you can play the tracks from the "external device" menu, but cannot import.

All of this because I upgraded my iPhone to 3.0 and so it is now only recognized as a USB audio source perhaps 1 in 20 times that I put it into the snap-in-adapter. The old iPhone on 2.2 software works every time, but is not 3G and is only 8GB. I do hope there is a software update to fix this, as I miss the playlist and search options that are available to the iPhone in the iDrive menu, where as USB sticks only have a directory search... :(
