Can't believe what I found

Hey guys, I'm new here. I've always been a BMW guy and have owned a few M3's, 7-series and my favorite was a Z4m Coupe. I can't believe what I've found over the past couple weeks.

First, I wanted to get my son something cool as he leaves for college. So I thought about one of my favorite cars from when I was younger and started looking for a M3 e46. First, car that pops up was a 2002 Black convertible with "26,000" miles!! On top of that it's only 1.5 miles from my house.

Second, I decide to surprise the wife with something fun. So I always wanted an E89, so again within 3 minutes of my initial search I find a 2012 Z4 3.5i, Mineral White with Canyon Interior with... what for it... 643miles. Yes again only 1.5 miles from the house. Two great finds, picking up the Z4 in an hour.

My 13 plate MW 35iS only had 2450 miles on it - me thinks MW was the showroom favourite meaning they have very few miles on them ! I was and am) happy :)

Assuming this is from a dealer of course ... as I can't see the pics.

Welcome - I'd hurry up with pics though - the forum picture police will be along at anytime now :)

Vety lucky finds great stuff. I think my wife wishes you where her husband and i wish you where my dad!!

I got a few pints down the local when i finished my apprenticeship!!!

Bloody hell Regit, a classic M3 as a "going to college" present? Crikey, I can't remember getting anything other than a handshake from my Dad on my first day at college. Lucky chap :)

Hells Bells Stuart - you got a handshake :!: :(

Christ, he gets an M3 and I got a '89 Fiesta 1.1 when I went to college!

... Still had fun with it, swapping the carbs to webbers and watching flames shoot out the top!

In all seriousness, is someone that young ready for an M3? He would have to learn a lot about RWD in a short space of time... :?

Looking back, I probably wouldn't be writing this if I had an M3 that young ! I nearly killed myself enough times in my Prelude !

Took me 3 summers working in a steel plant, heat treating metal plates before I got enough for a 7 year old 67 Mustang Fastback ($450).
But I understand modern parents need to help their kids where they can.

Bumpy.

ps - You know how many cases of beer you can fit into a Mustang ?
There always seemed to be room for one more case ! Damn I had fun with that car.

I had to sell my Nova SR when I went to uni. :( :(

Makes reminder to tell parents they are a set of tight arses ! (Even though it was 15 years ago)

Ok, yes I admit I spoil my son, but the kid got his college paid for with a football and academic scholarship, so I'm money ahead!!!

Here are pics...
