Cannot fill past half tank?

Are there any known issues with fuelling? I picked up a 2011 23i yesterday and went to fill her up today but at half tank the hose kept clicking.

Its worth noting that I couldn't get the nozzle all the way in - I used to drive a diesel so had to keep checking it was unleaded going in!

Am I missing something and being daft here??

Have you tried pulling it out slightly? I sometimes have trouble if its pushed right in.

Just try with it out a bit and try giving it a wiggle and twist, and be gentle. Dont go full trigger!

I fill mine with the trigger upside down so it goes in faster,used to have the same problem only filling to half a tank. Now it fills faster,don`t know if thats a good thing.

i had this problem with Tesco Watford super unleaded too.... no other petrol station or Tesco garage strangely enough though!

Won't be your problem, but reminds me of fitting the wrong filler cap on an unvented tank. Wondered why I couldn't get much fuel in only to find the vacuum from the fuel pump had collapsed the tank.
