just bought a Z4M coupe interlagos blue my question is this Can you swap out the multi function bits on the steering wheel to plain inserts ?as i have installed a new sd reading head unit and the buttons are now inoperative

Why not try swapping out your MFSW for one with one of the non M guys? You should get a few quid for the swap too.

The stitching is just about the only 'M' exclusive trim on the cars.

Those spokes are expensive I believe, might need to replace mine as they are wearing out through driving at 1/4 to 3 all the time.

srhutch - that is covered under warranty so I have heard from others who had them replaced by the dealer FOC.

I think they're just confused because the ///M has MFSW as standard, the part number for the same wheel in the 3.0Si is 32 34 8 035 325 so I would ask then if they can get you them instead.
