Can you tell the cold weather dipstick tube from the warm weather one by just looking at them?

If you're indeed referring to the ccv pipework as Rob suggests then the cold weather version has thicker insulating foam lagging.
 
Ha! Thank goodness you guys are thinking straighter than me.
I was about to go out to see if I should be checking the oil from a different dipstick when it got colder.
I was sure it only had one :rofl:

No not the CCV. There is an actual cold climate dipstick tube

I don’t know if mine is the cold weather one shown in the link or the standard one. From what I have read, the standard one is a tube within a tube and can get clogged with respect to oil returning from the CCV. where as the cold weather one is designed differently and can not suffer from that issue.
