Can you park sign

Was looking at this today and still couldn’t work out if I could park there without paying or if I could park there for 4 hours.

They need brackets so a technical person can understand what part is “or” and what part is “and”

It's obvious to us native English types...

Between 9am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday, parking is free for permit holders, if you don't have a permit you have to pay (by phone). In either case you can park for a maximum of 4 hours - plus any time after 8pm or before 9am.

Presumably you could park at 4pm, pay for 4 hours to get you up to 8pm, and then leave the car overnight (no restrictions between 8pm and 9am) then pay for another 4 hours at 9am, thus parking there for 23 hours....

Sunday is free. Parking restrictions (requirement to pay, and max stay time) only apply between monday-saturday, 9am to 8pm. So park at 8.01pm on saturday night, youre good till 8.59am on monday morning

That was my assumption but didn’t feel comfortable as I wasn’t sure if the restrictions (either permit or pay) applied mon-sat and the 4 hours was at any time or if the 4 hours was part of the mon-sat restriction only.

Wished they made it more clear rather than guesswork.

Parked on the other side of the street instead as that just had a mon-sat permit holder limitation only

Just like the not reading of the question :poke:
Bloody foreigners... coming over here without so much as a by-your-leave and nicking all our parking spaces... make 'em drive back to their own country and park there, that's what I say... :oldman:
