Can you beat this insurance quote?

Just remember that your mods with the admiral group are NOT insured. You have to declare them for them to load the premium as makes it more desirable theft wise but only replace with standard parts if let's say alloys stolen and you fitted CSL's.

All in the T&C's before anyone argues!!!

I'm afraid VvrooomM is right tomscott, Admiral do not cover modifications except to replace them with standard oem parts.

I've been with them for a couple of years and initially they told me on the phone that my mods would be covered, but when I called to add subsequent mods they told me they would not cover any loses with other than oem replacements. I tried to challenge them, but it's clearly stated in their T&Cs

VvrooomM is exactly right. They cover the modifications due to the increased desirability/performance/etc, but they will only replace with standard parts should you need to make a claim.

That said, I feel it's well worth it. They are consistently the cheapest insurer for me (and almost always have been), and are modification friendly.

CIS used to cover all mods no problems. But those days are gone now :(

Looking to change my policy in March to be a limited <4000 miles policy. Think it's worth sticking with Admiral? Age 23, 5years NCB, mods, social use only. (I'm 24 in May, so just miss that!)

Work have just got me a company car, so will be using only for weekend fun and ideally trackdays going forward from March.

Thoughts?

Your age maybe an issue but http://www.classicline.co.uk insure mine for similar use for £370 pa

Just renewed my insurance,

Age: 23, 2 yrs NC, 3 points, Z4MC with tinted windows, lowering springs, rear carbon lip spoiler, (haven't done it yet but put down I had upgraded 19" CSL alloys((next job)), 8000miles SDP, fully comp, garaged & I live in a very quiet part of the Lake District.

£1060

Through Admiral with all the upgrades. Also put my dad on the policy as a named driver because he's never had a claim no points and has been driving 35+ years. This reduced my insurance £1000.

I saved £400 on moneysupermarket.com and now I feel EPIC!

Age: 27, 3 yrs NC, 0 points, on a standard Z4MC I cant beat that quote even with admiral!!

I pay half that. I'm 25, but even when i was 23 i was around £600.

5k mileage, garaged, Mum & Misses on policy!
