Does yours make a noise when the engine is hot?

Couldn't say off the top of my head, what sort of noise should I listen out for next time I take it for a spin?

I imagine the oil pumping through the filter may make some noise but I've not heard anything to make me investigate that area of the engine before.

Its hard to describe the noise, you cant hear it from inside the cabin, only when the engine is running and the bonet is open

But as you say, its probably the oil pumping through the filter

I'm noise hunting at the moment trying to get rid of all squeaks, whistles and rattles.
