Can anyone recommend a Spa weekend?

I'm looking for somewhere nice to take my wife for her 30th, so I've been looking for a weekend brea somewhere.

I'm near Birmingham but doesn't matter where.

City break maybe? Was thinking along the lines of somewhere out in the countryside though tbh. Peak District or similar.

Ideas welcome
 
Relais and Chateaux hotel in new Forest is a very nice hotel with a very posh spa attached

Have been for dinner for the tasting menu and for afternoon tea but not stayed there/been to spa
 
Celtic Manor - just down the M5/M50.

Off there next week to have some 20-year old welsh beauty give me a massage :roll:
 
Doc. Worked with Chitty Glen before. Rooms are gorgeous, food good and Spa is great. Seriously paying over the odds on this though. Take it from a pro on this one check out the R&C website; ring the individual estate (do not book through R&C they are just agents and take a fat comm) and hagle (with a very posh voice).

my 2 cents worth:

Tried and tested method: go for seaside break abroad. very romantic and always great value in spring before the full season hits.
