Thanks for that - just didn't want to break anything.
After feeling under the back one the centre pin is flush so I guess the front one will be when I jack it up.

@m999psw. No you're not the only one, and I don't see that as any sort of failing on our part!

This shipping to the UK is a killer......
First thought is, does BMW not make something suitable?

Then, when you get to this price level ($60) it seems worth investing in a trolley jack that has an appropriate pad included.

Shipping to Canada is bad too. If I can get it in the post I'm OK but UPS is a killer.

I haven't seen a floor jack with a correct fitting for the jack points but I'm sure they all work fine without it. I just got a bit anal about this so I got one from ESS anyway.

edit: I'm sure you could make a fitting easily enough out of some hardwood or similar, cut to fit your floor jack.
