Can anyone lend a hand?

Hi guys, so thanks to the legendary Bigwinn and Enough Zed I've diagnosed my wet carpet to be a result of a faulty door membrane.

Seen as I'm going to have to take the door card off anyway, I thought I might have a go at sound deadening the doors too, like seen in this video https://youtu.be/PVFG17lzEDU

Trouble is I'm not at all confident in dealing with the doors/airbags and have a talent for breaking clips, so wondered if there was anyone in the south east who would be able to give me a hand? I'd come to you and could pay you for your troubles or give you a hand with something on your car!

Unfortunately that link seems to only bring up an advert for 3 mobile network.
 
Clips are cheap and it's one of the first things I did (as many others probably) with their cars. It's not a huge job. The main thing is to cut the butyl tape with a sharp clean knife in the middle when removing the membrane so you can put it back and maintain the waterproof seal.

I would say come to Basingstoke as I still have some deadening material somewhere but I'm pretty pressed for time at weekends currently.

Would a list of tools and materials followed by a bulletpoint list of steps be helpful?
 
That's for all the replies! Think I might give it a go myself, I just always end up making a 5 minute job into an entire weekend of work haha!

Have already got new membranes, new Butyl Tape, sound deadening panels and a razor blade. Is there anything I might be missing?

I’m in SE London and could give you a hand if you get stuck. Think I’ve had the door cards off one of my old Zed’s, but between us I’m sure we can tackle it all. Drop me a PM if that helps and we can try and sort a day out.
 
By a weird twist of fate it now looks like I'll be taking a door card off another member's car on Saturday morning, so if you tune in then we can do some kind of remote learning course. First hour is free :D :D :D

Is it get at Martin day???
I was born in Tunbridge Wells and raised in West Sussex.
I am relocated to Norfolk by happenstance and now have developed an allergy to hills. :rofl:
