Calling all N52 charged owners

Afternoon chaps,

I love the setup I have with the coupe and the N52 under the hood, I'm planning to pull the trigger and order a charger kit from ESS. I've been in talks with them the last few weeks putting my mind at rest about various questions. The last question they cannot answer is the import costs.

What were the import costs, as we are talking about 3.6K in total. I have the option to order it or fly over and collect it in person. (I can fly anywhere in the world for just the tax of the ticket)

Hope some of you chaps can shed some light on it.

Don't forget that you're supposed to stop at customs and declare the £3.6k of goods you're carrying (i.e. the red lane).

If you don't stop, and are caught, then you could face fine on top of the customs duty, or the goods may be seized.

I think if you pick it up in Norway, you still have to pay norwegian VAT. I dont think they will hand out the goods without VAT payed (but you can Always ask...).
The import duty usually isnt the big blow (thats probably 3% or so), its the 20% VAT (and in Norway VAT is of course more....25%)
