Calling All 25k+ Milers

If your car has reached or passed 25k miles, could you spare the time please to let me know whether you have had an INSP 1 or 2 yet and if so when/if not when your car thinks its due?

Thanks

at that sort of mileage it should be comming upto insp 1 as it goes roughly like this:
15k - oil
30k - insp 1
45k oil
60k insp 2

but then it also depends on the year of your car

My 2006 3.0 Coupe is just outside your criteria but:-
Oil service done @ 2yrs with 8k
Insp 1 recently done @23k but OBC showing 4500m before required.

These are the approximate milages for the services, not sure what other info you require? Although the service indicator is reset to show approx 15k miles, it actually counts down the litres of fuel used. The more economically you drive the longer between services.

mine had
16k - oil (+brake fluid)
31k - insp 1 (+brake fluid)
31043 when I bought it
current mileage 41000 and distance to next service (oil) is 8000

My car is currently on 20k miles, and it says service due in 8K miles. (but its 4 year anniversary is next Jan, so will prob get it done then)

Thanks folks.

The reason I ask is that the main dealer I bought from accepts the service indicator has gone awry at some stage and has agreed to do a missed brake fluid service for me but is adament that it is correct now. If it is correct now the car will reach 40k having had 3 oil services and no inspections. This to my mind doesn't seem correct as I drive the car in quite a spirited fashion and I doubt I was the only owner to do so. I am saying it should at least have had a inspection 1 by now so am asking them to do that and reset the indicator from there. I don't think thats too unreasonable.

I had my inspec 1 done at 4 years (had to have at least an oil service) @ 28k although the computer said it wasn't due for another 7k.

Reason I did it early is so when I sell there is nothing for a buyer to haggle about regarding servicing.

Mine is on 25.5k miles at the moment and the computer shows Inspection 1 is due in about 4k... had an oil service at about 15k.

I know mines not an E85, but

26k - Oil
Inspection 1 due at 38k

And the car is 15 months old

Not like BMW main cretins to cock up a cars service history.
Mine has only been in to main dealers for servicing and they managed to do 2 x Oil Services followed by the Inspection 1, Inspection 2 due any time time, though I do accept some of the blame for not noticing or rather not fully understanding the service routine at the time.
BMW UKs customer service departments response when it was pointed out to them was "oh well Sir it will all come right in the finish" arseholes!!!.

Or every 2 years, whichever comes first.

Thanks folks. This is helpful. As suspected it shoudl be lining up for an insp 1, not a 3rd oil service.

How can you tell which Inspection it needs by the indicator? I'm just curious as mines is showing 9000k till "Inspection" but doesn't state 1 or 2. Got the car with 42K

According to the book the sequence is oil insp1 oil insp 2 oil and so on. Thus if ur last insp in the book was an insp 1 next is insp 2 (with oil in between) and vice versa.
