Caliper and Brake Hose Fit?

This isn't a problem per se.. when I replaced a sticking caliper, I installed it onto the existing brake hose. This worked fine, but was a bit of a job as the connections were fairly well corroded at both ends.

Front driver side replaced, but front left side is on my list as preventative. At the same time, I ordered a new pair of hoses as they were fairly inexpensive.. the thought being a full brake fluid flush and replacing both hoses would be worth while.

The fit seems a little odd though? See attached... doesn't seem to screw the whole way in?

AS long as there are no leaks it should be fine, replace mine on a Morgan with stainless hoses years ago and they fitted same as your picture, never had an issue with them.

I don't have a picture on hand but from memory my new calipers and braided hoses fitted in the same way
