Cabin heater fan replacement

Hi all, I have an extremely noisy cabin heater fan, I'm guessing its bearings are gone...though sometimes it's quiet...I've tried running it at full speed, then off then on again etc in case I needed to clear a leaf etc..also tried running without the filter in case that was the issue, but to no avail. So I'm guessing I will need to change the fan. Before I attempt this, has anyone else done it? Any tips?

Disconnect the battery first. Access to the fan isn’t too bad but you will need to take the ‘hedgehog’ out and that just loves to arc to everything!
You will also need to pop out the small actuator nearest the fan to get enough clearance to pull it out.
Whereabouts are you? Anywhere near Norfolk and I’m happy to help and also have a spare fan.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm almost 200 miles away in Portsmouth, so I will have to say no to your kind offer of help
