C43 Coupe

After 4+ years of Z4 35i ownership, we've just ordered a new C43 Coupe, due for delivery in October. Staying with a three litre twin turbo, but with the added benefit of 4WD. I think the standard 367HP will be more than adequate, but there's already a Brabus upgrade available with 410HP :D

Very nice, the interiors look nice, 350odd horses is more than enough, added plus of decent promise in fuel economy too, but not that it really matters :)

If you don't mind the question what did the final optioned cost come to?

Thats one svelte looking motor , i am a big fan of the current C & E coupes & current MB cabins are very nice places to be .

List was £53,525 + OTR charges, but we still managed to get a good discount even though it's a brand new model by trading off the various online brokers.

That was with pretty much every option ticked apart from the Driving Assistance Package with active cruise control.

They are nice, MB and Audi have both upped their game with their new cars so let's hope the new crop of BMWs raise the stakes further - at the end of the day we're the winners from this sort of competition

Thanks, we particularly liked the interior design, still torn between going with the porcelain or brown leather, the red is also nice but we have that in our current 35i and fancied a change.

The only thing that ruins that interior (all new mercedes' interiors by the looks of things) is the stupid 'stuck on' screens. Do they not retract into the dash?

They don't retract but since they made it lager it looks less like s stuck on Garmin.
The one in my A45 is not ideal but nowhere near as bad as the older model as it is now bigger by a couple of inches.

That looks very elegant. I mostly really like the design of Mercedes' new cars! Should be pretty quick too! Early reviews say it's not very involving but I don't really think that's the point of the thing anyway.

My last car (E350) had the brown/tan interior it lasted very well, didn't require any maintenance to keep it clean unlike the beige in the zed which frequently did and hence went with the same choice in the four.

Yes, that was the one concern we had with going with the lighter Porcelain leather. Just need to find one in a dealership so we can see what the actual Brown leather colour in the C coupe is like in real life. The order won't get locked for at least a couple of months so we've got plenty of time to decide.

Our new C43 Coupe has been built a few weeks earlier than expected and due for delivery at the dealers this week, so it looks like our 35i will be going the route of WBAC rather than being sold privately. Glad the weather looks good for the next couple of days so I can enjoy my last couple of days of top down motoring for a while.

Our Z4 has been faultless in 4+ years as a daily driver, just tyres and regular maintenance to keep her running smoothly. Will be sad to see her go.
