C clamp on passenger side of roof

Hi! My soft top c clamp on driver side opens and closes with motor, and both open and close manually using Allen wrench, but passenger side don't open close with motor. What sensor keeps the passenger side from engaging using the motor and where is it? Thanks!

Can’t understand that? If they both open manually then the drive shaft must be working?
But winding it manually is much slower, so maybe the splines in the shaft are worn. Turning slowly allows them to grip but the speed of the motor makes them slip?

If one shaft is broken the claw will look like it’s moving with natural movement when wound manually… but no drive will get to it when powered?

Yeah, it's weird. Why I thought it might be a senor or something hidden up there outside of the view of where I can see the motor and spindle. The driver and passenger side claws open and close at the same rate manually. But only the driver side opens fully electrically. The passenger side goes about half way

Maybe disconnect the spindle from the motor and wind it manually out a little to synchronise them, then reconnect the spindle ?
