Things I'll miss;

The noise.
The people gathering to talk about the car.
The top down motoring.

Things I wont miss;
Trying to drive it in the snow / wet.
Fuel consumption.
lack of room for more than 1 passenger.

So far I'm really liking the 435d Xdrive - I never really thought the 35iS was dated as many others have said on here previously but having had the 4 series for a day I'm starting to understand that.

435d X Drive
M Sport + Package
Adaptive MSport suspension.
Electric Sunroof

:)

Looks lovely, out of interest what tyres have BMW fitted on the xDrive.

Still prefer your Zed I miss mine against my M135i purely on the looks and the attention it received.

I do find my old E89 is a little dated against my M135i but I think thats purely on the dash binacle etc as I have black panel display on the 1er.

Mines got Potenza S001 fitted :).

I have no doubt I'm going to miss the 35iS - but I need to drive my cars more than I was driving it :(.

It was fun while it lasted :D

That looks great. Congratulations. I bet it shifts too. I think Sars is getting the convertible soon.
Early doors but so far so good - it definately has potential - Can't wait to get it on the backroads once I get back up to Aberdeenshire - Got the drive up from Hull tomorrow so I'll have a better idea of what it can do.

Quite surprised at the noise it makes in Sport+ mode (in the cabin) - No doubt still sounds like a souped up tractor outside

will do a proper write up once I've done more than motorway miles (mainly in 50 mph limits :headbang: ) from Hampshire to Hull !

Thanks for that, thats the slkight problem I have with the M135i, I just don't like driving it in the winter as its shod with Michelin supersports which are a bit dicey in bad weather so I may look at an xDrive variant next year. Its a bit of a waste laying the car up over winter.

Looks a cracker Jasey, bar the top down I bet you won't really miss the zed, that thing'll be a comfy quite frugal torque monster. Congrats.

Hope you stick around on the forum.

Gorgeous 435xd :)

I am also in the throws of looking at 4's and may succumb to similar decision based upon your reasoning shortly. The lack of seats is starting to bug me!

Sincerely hope you enjoy this monster diesel!

Cheers JC :D

Congratulations, that's lovely, I was tempted by the coupe, it has cleaner lines than the convertible and a few hundred kilos lighter as well.

....only another 7 weeks or so to go

I was tempted by the convertible - but was more tempted by the M-Sport+ & Adaptive and I really couldn't push to both

In the end I went with the package I would get the most out of - Top down driving in Aberdeenshire is rare in the summer ;) - I figured with the sunroof open and windows down it would be quite similar

Thanks - I hope I enjoy it too - So far so good :).

Actually quite looking forward to the winter now so I can see how it copes with Scottish winter :driving:

Winter tyres are great, but when the snow is higher than your front spoiler youve had it..lol...

Great car BTW.... I think the 4 series is the best BMW out there at the moment.

Just had a day with BMW at Brands Hatch, drove M135i, M 235i, M3, M4, M5 and M6, 435iD X drive, 435i all very lovely - M4 was the best - what a sound - very tempted -

Looking very nice and agree on the modern look of the 4 series. The engine has a lot of power, I have the 40d and it outperforms most cars on the road whilst still returning good economy - even though mine is in the X5.
