I'm thinking of buying a 06 Z4. I can hardly believe how many out there with less then 15,000 miles.I mean even 03's with fewer miles.Do people buy these cars to look at or are the miles tamperd with.I'm realy worried about getting burned again.I bought a sostice gxp with 80 miles on it.I won't even go any further on that(REAL SCREWING)RF PAUL

Many are bought as 2nd or 3rd cars and so the miles aren't racked up much... they're as untampered with as any BMW really - so take the usual precautions but there's no need to worry any more than usual.

Hi,i always buy used from a dealer then you know you are getting a genuine car, bought my 2003 2.2i se and it had only 22k on the clock and after a years ownership i've only done 6k so mine is a w/end car,so i think people do buy them as a second car something for the w/end. I would'nt be to worried about an 06 with 15k on the clock i would snap it up as long as it has got FBMWSH.So hope that helped, good luck

As said a lot of them are weekend cars like mine i only do around 5k a year.

I bought mine Jan 08 was a June 04 car only covered just over 11k was like new and now showing just over 20k and over 5 years old.

Just make sure the cars condition matches the miles its done mine is still very good at 20k especially the interior no wear on the leather or steering wheel and body work is very good apart from the odd stone chip.

Bought used myself... if you're worried, try and get one with a few months warranty left on it. I took mine into the local dealer, paid for the check and had them fix any issues under warranty. If you're thorough you should be fine... take a mate who can be more objective. Get a full history and speak to the dealers to see what they have on they car - you just need the reg. If in doubt walk away.

They're great cars and very few have been unlucky. If you want to be sure, buy from a dealer... legally more come back.

I did about 3,000 miles in mine last year and it's my only car.

Go on. Go on. Go on... :poke:

This kind of mileage is not uncommon although a car that has been sat around for long periods unused could start to cause problems.

Don't though be hoodwinked by FBMWSH. That is no assurance of quality or condition, it's just something to aid resale when you move it on later.

I bought mine (2006/56) in February this year, the previous owner already did over 42k miles. Now my Z4 is approaching 50k miles. I drive it to work everyday (47 miles round trip). So the clock will reach 72k miles in 2 years time.

Hi MAte, lots have low miles .... mines a 2003 with 21k on the clock and i just asked for the service hiostory docs and the MOT's and you can soon prove the authenticity of the mileage. Also do a HPI check and check that its all legite !!!!!

HAppy looking. Dean

Hey mate, mine is an 06 plate 2.5i with 19k on the clock - people tend just to use them as weekend cars.....

And I'm going to be selling it soon if you are interested!
