Buying my fist Z4 soon!

Hello from Indiana!

I've just recently decided my new summer car will be a Z4. There aren't a whole lot of them around - which I like - but that makes the search pretty difficult. On cars.com in 250 miles I think there are 13 manual Z4's and only 5 make my cut of 2006 or newer (that's not including must be black or grey and roadster, < 30,000 miles, really want SOME warranty left, red interior would be nice, as would an si, nav would be a plus and less than $25,000). I drove 4 hours to Chicago (where oddly enough I've purchased my last two vehicles....) to test drive a Z4 3.0i and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I'm 6'4" and I actually have more leg room than in my Xterra and about the same headroom! Aside from that it's the nicest thing I've been in for a long time- vehicle or otherwise... Gear changes were rifle action smooth, engine sounded amazing, plenty of power, etc. But I'm sure I don't need to tell you guys all this lol.

I'm all set with financing and insurance so once I find the perfect one I'll be bringing her home. This one was pretty great (28,000 mi and warranty until June something) but it is as basic as it gets except it's got a power top. Honestly, that's enough for me but since it's the very first car I've found I want to shop around a little. It did have the cold-start ticking sound I've read so much about. I'm not sure how to feel about that. My motorcycle does the same thing when it sits for a while and it does go away after driving a bit. Plus it will be a daily driver so maybe it won't be an issue at all. They won't go any lower in price and at $22,800 it's probably a great deal but like I said... I've JUST started seriously looking.

So I guess I just wanted to say hi since I'll probably be around here for a while and also to see if you guys have any suggestions for a first time buyer. I'll go pretty much anywhere for the right car, I just wish I could find one now! lol
