Hello. Just joined my first forum. Looking at a 2015 BMW Z4 sDrive28i Roadster 2D 75,000 miles. Sweet car. Had mechanic inspection with no problems. I only noticed small cosmetic faults.
Door handle does not fully retract. $600
Access cover wheel well missing
Some weathering rubber under hood
Upgrade from my Miata.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

No problem with asking questions.
The key things with the 2.0 are around oil changes (the more the better) and that the cam chain and followers have been replaced. Being a 2015 car is right around the time BMW changed over to the better ones.
Hopefully one of the really knowledgeable ones will be able to advise on the changeover dates.

Aside of that, the usual things apply.
The salmon relays for the roof need replacing unless documented as done, check around the roof pump for water and get rid of the runflat tyres (makes such a difference).

For the future, suspension will benefit from new shocks in the near future (75k miles means they are done).

Other than that, if the deal is right, go for it, post pictures when bought and enjoy it!
They won't handle like a Miata, but you get more space, more refinement and more rarity value 😎

Suspension and Steering:

3. Verify proper tire wear patterns indicating correct alignment and suspension geometry.

4. Test electric power steering for proper assistance and feedback.

Interior and Body:

1. Inspect seat wear patterns, particularly driver's seat bolster and steering wheel condition.

2. Check convertible top fabric for tears, fading, or water penetration.

3. Verify proper operation of climate control including A/C compressor cycling.

Service History Verification:

1. Confirm regular oil changes using BMW LL-01 specification oil with 10,000-mile intervals maximum.

It was more a reference to being a “Doppelgänger” with all the writing being a mirror image.
The car looks lovely, I’m sure you will enjoy driving it whatever the weather, but Sun out and top down is the best.
