Buying a Z4 M Coupe

The car is in Essex, I can't get down until the weekend as I need a ride and my gf can't get the time off work

Can't you just get it delivered, had my last two that way, just paid on Switch the day before? Not a problem with almost new cars, it'll be perfect when you get it anyway.

Never thought of that, although one advantage is that it gives me chance to inspect the car before handing over my hard earned.

Out of interest how much would a dealer charge to transport the car up?

I never paid it was always included in the price, with the Z4 I told them before we did the deal, and with the SLK I threw it in after, they still did it though.

Most dealer groups will have a "delivery man" who takes it up for you, goes through the paperwork and then you drop him back at the train station, they're usually trained in handovers etc. but in reality you want them to bugger off ASAP so you can get to grips with the car. The Benz guy was awesome, he even stopped to brim the tank before he brought it to my house

Shame I never thought of that earlier.

Prices still seem to be dropping, there's an Imola Red car listed for under 30K on the BMW AUC site and the Black sapphire car I almost did a deal on last week has dropped a grand!
