Buy a new shape z4 on a budget

I have 20 - 23,000 at my disposal and what i want is an AUTO z4 new shape.

I can not find any at that price as yet. I was thinking about getting one in Jan - Feb 2010 - do you think they may drop in price to that level by then (i23 will do)

I do not want one with over 25,000 miles.

I know I ask a lot but its the car of my dreams but I just can not afford to go over 23k

Prices now start from £27k for AUC (sDrive23i). You should be able to get one for £23k after 6 months.

I will buy a used sDrive35i with DCT and Sat Nav when the price drops below £25k. The cheapest one is £37k on BMW website.

How long do you think it will take for them to drop below 25k?

3 to 6 months for a basic sDrive23i model. I want a sDrive35i with DCT, adaptive sports suspension, sat nav and bluetooth, then it may take much longer. :D

I see on Autotrader (searched national, Z4, max 1 year price to £25k) they are starting to drop below £26k for various 23i from traders inc BMW.
Of course once you start to go for auto and other options then prices will be much higher

It makes for an interesting search when you see in the same zone late ///M's and even 09 2.0 at the same price. The latter does look overpriced.

Judging by a quick search I see no reason for them not to drop to £23k by end Q110

Wave you pounds notes at a seller (including dealers) and just watch the price drop! Sellers and dealers may have their 'tricks' as highlighted in other posts but so do buyers. Start of by offering a silly price and then negotiate from there. Walk away if the seller won't agree and then wait for the phone call. Find every little scratch and mark on the vehicle and make a 'big thing' of it to reduce the price. Part worn tyres - new ones fitted or reduce the price etc etc.
