Business CD Head Unit buttons disabled - work from wheel?

Hi, just got my 07 Roadster, and cd/radio work but i can only tune/channel select/track skip/change volume from the buttons on the steering wheel. time updated when changed on the dash, stations displayed on/off works - am i missing something obvious?

A couple of the buttons e.g. am fm when pressed mute whatevers playing about 3 seconds after they are released.

Grateful for any help!
 
sounds odd, no t heard of that one before.

you got any warranty as it sounds like the radio faceplate is on the blink :o

Put a bit in the newbie section with some pics of your Zed.

Agree with srhutch - try a reset first before ore drastic action.
 
Thanks for the advice! Will try the reset if no joy under warranty - if i need to do it will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.
