Bushes need replacing, polyurethane?

Hi,

My last MOT revealed that:

"offside and nearside front lower Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement rear mount bush"

From what I've read and understood, it is best to replace these with the Polyurethane ones (Powerflex etc).

While they are doing some front Bushes, I would like them to replace all the bushes (maybe rear too) and was wondering if anyone had a diagram showing exactly what bushes there are on my 2003 2.5i Roadster?

Also, if anyone can offer any advice on what and where to buy them I would be grateful...

Thanks,
Marco

Powerflex have a diagram. I chose not to go with poly for the lower control arm (wishbone) rear bush (lollipop) as I was worried about creaking/noise.
I am going to assume that your car is on original bushes. If you're paying someone and with that in mind I'd suggest doing the entire control arms.

Also worth doing and easy DIY:
ARB Bushes (front and rear)
ARB drop links (front and rear - rear not so easy)
Rear Trailing Arm Bushes (RTAB - poly will act as a limiter, makes a lot of difference and I don't get any noise).

NFBR gets good rates on poly - though CarParts4Less can also be cheap. For rubber I went with Meyle HD and cheapest was on eBay. Lemforder are OE and perfectly suitable too.

Who's NFBR.??

Yea NFBR does cracking deals on power flex bushes

I would go power flex I have used them on my old z4 and current m3 and no real negative effects :)

Member here - I think I've got his name right?

Almost! Just lower case as it's not an Acronym :)

Yep, I've supplied about 25-30 forum members with Powerflex product so far this year.
PM me with your requirement for prices :)

Can also vouch for nfbr

Had the front wishbone rear bush and rear trailing arm bushes replaced with Powerflex ones on Saturday. Definitely recommend it, car feels very different. My lollipop bushes were quite badly worn, and I thought I'd get the RTAB replaced at the same time. Feels great.
