Bus lane removal - common sense from 'politician' at last?

So, finally a politician has said he doesn't think the bus lanes help to reduce congestion, or get more people onto public transport.

He also says that they shouldn't be kept just because they rake in £700k a year.

I'm sure that 700k is a drop in the ocean in terms of people being late for work and delivers not getting to their target on time, both affecting productivity within businesses.

Saying that I used to live in zone 1 and 2 and with or without the bus lanes traffic is now beyond being manageable in London
