Burgundy E85 2.5i SE 2005

Love Merlot Z4s - and it looks like you have a light interior too Great combination. Just a shame they never did Merlot on the Coupe! :(

Not sure if you may have seen it, but there is a Z4 meet planned for 9 a.m. on 19 February at Newlands Corner, Nr. Guildford (Full details under the Events heading).

If you are free come along and meet some other local owners.

Yes great colour. Nearly brought one myself last year which was the same colour but too many dinks and dents.

Welcome to the forum and what a nice motor you've got yourself. It would look even better if you got some nicer wheels on. The 16's aren't massively popular. That said, if you want a comfy ride then they're perfect.

Thanks folks for all your positively delightful replies. It's great to feel acknowledged in any new enterprise and you've certainly ticked all the boxes in this regard.
If you could enlighten me, I'm interested in alternative wheel "looks", but completely stumped when seeing the various suggestions. I've done all the racing I want to do in my short life: Donnington, Brands Hatch, Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb and Goodwood with my complete (physical) body intact, so anything for a comfortable ride.
Also thanks for pointing out that it is MERLOT!!
Thanks again.

Glad your experience has been positive OP - this forum is much more friendly than some I have used!

As for wheels, hopefully this link will work to give you an idea of some options, but ignore the prices - you can find good used wheels much cheaper:- http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/z4_e85_alloys

Bigger wheels seem to fill the wheel-arches better, but mean lower profile tyres so can affect the ride. Many on here advocate fitting non-runflats - one of the benefits reported being a better ride. Saying that, mine have both been on OEM 18inch Bridgestone runflats and I don't find the ride too bad - it is a sports car after all!

While I enjoy Merlot, tonight I am enjoying Shiraz.

Thank you for your recommendations on wheels.
I will be sure to change my wine colour description henceforth to Merlot, which is my preferred tipple anyway.
Firstly I have to receive the V5 which the garage who sold me the car, still have not provided 1 month after. Until I receive this I don't feel the car is mine.
Thanks again.
