Broken Wingmirror

Overnight last week someone was 'kind enough' to walk past my Z4 and smash the wing mirror off. You can see from the images that it is still attached by the cables but the fixing is broken. First quote I got a from a local garage was for £350 (parts & labour) which seems a little steep to me. Has anyone had a similar issue and been able to resolve this themselves or at a cheaper cost than my first quote? Cheers.

You need a complete new mirror assembly, easy enough to change yourself, try and find one from a specialist breakers.

Cheers for the reply. I got another quote today from a local garage and that was £474 +VAT - will head down to a breakers yard and find one myself.

Where are you based? You will be able to strip it down and repair it with the right stuff. If you strip it down and glue it with this, then apply the powder and glue it then it will be solid.
