Broken Sunglass Holder

The drop down sunglasses holder in my E86 is broken - probably because I had some tissues stuffed in there and it jammed the clip

It now rotates up / down and I hear the 'click' when I push it in but it doesn't engage / stay up

Problem is I can't work out out which part is damaged - if any fellow coupe owners could check and tell me if there is a lip or protruding piece of plastic on the part that rotates down / up that would be very helpful - I suspect this has broken off mine

Sorry I cant help Mike. We dont need a sunglasses holder in a Roadster, as we always have them on our faces and not just for putting on when we get out of the car .. :poke:
 
Haha - you do need a tent on a rail with a motor in a poly bag to protect you from British weather though :violent1: :violent1:

Any help from coupe owners rather than abuse from jealous roadster bods?
 
As far as I'm concerned there are only two main parts to a sunglasses holder...
- Your ears and your nose :D

Does the clip at the top pop in and out when you activate it manually, or does it keep popping out to it's 'open' position?
 
Ah great thanks for the pics - the little clip is missing from the inside - wouldn't have thought this would be the case if I hadn't seen a working one - thanks folks

Wonder if I can find the part lying about.........
 
No worries, hope you manage to get it sorted.
