broken rear springs and non run flats

Hello am thinking of going the non run flat option soon.Question is have any of you suffered broken springs whilst running non run flats, or do most of the breaks seem to come whilst running run flats.Just really trying to figure if the run flats play a part. Also, i live in the wigan area anyone know of a good tyre fitter who will fit non run flats to my Z4. thanks an advance for your answers. Steve

Broken spring with run flats and non runflats..... . Just a thought probably the majority break when using RFTs as this happens in the early life of the vehicle and probably the original set of tyres (generally).

Thanks Alan for taking time to reply mine broke at 7 yrs old with 60 k on the clock 2nd set of run flats

It's a common fault on the E46's which dont have runflats. I believe RFT's will not help, but with stiff suspension and low profile tyres it will still happen.

We have now also seen the first case(s) on M models that don't have runflat either.

Non RFT's can only help as the ride will be slightly softer
