Brodit

I'm trying to install a brodit for my sat nav and I really hope I'm missing something. I've got the angled 'ProClip' and an adaptor for my sat nav (Navigon). In my possession I have two large pieces of plastic and 4 screws... surely you aren't meant to just screw the adaptor straight into the proclip? Incidentally I did have a quick bash with the screwdriver and the plastic is rather tough so I can't see those two going together without getting the drill out.

That would be helpful wouldn't it? :poke:

Left is the ProClip that clips into the dash. Right is the bracket that needs to attach to the left one. There are 4 self-tapping screws in the pack with the right-hand bracket. You can see where I had a little experiment with the screw and screwdriver :?

Position sat nav bracket with ball on to a neat central position on the left mount use a fine drill to make starter holes
screw together and using the supplied tool slide bracket into dash

I can't believe I am saying this :poke:

Heh ye that's what I was thinking. But I was also thinking '2mins any idiot install' means that I'm probably missing a clip-on bracket or something.

/Goes to fetch the drill

Thanks

I managed to use the screws without drilling a pilot hole...

I found the angle of the clip made it rather tricky to apply neccesary pressure on the screw. After drilling the holes it went together like a dream. Used a mini clamp as per wegras' suggestion and it was easy as pie.

I should add I didnt screw the holder to the mount with the mount in place... all done in my hands so angles etc weren't an issue.

anyhow you are sorted :D
