Well, I got my winter wheels and tyres fitted the other day. As part of my 'bartering' during purchase of the car, I have free fitting and storage for as long as I own the car :D
The tyres are Bridgestone Blizzak, and I'd ordered steel wheels. However, it was a nice surprise to see these wheels on at no extra cost

Nooooooo, roll on the summer lol :D

I didn't realise BMW did steelies for the E89, the wheel package you have fitted my dealer wanted around £1700 plus 30 quid to swap the wheels and store and another 30 to swap back next spring :o I kindly declined and fitted some cheaper alloys and all seasons on the Z3.

Yours look good and the way to go for winter driving on the Zed, hence why I tuck the Z4 away, just isn't worth the risk without the rubber for the job

Hi Tim, they were supposed to be steel with an Msport trim ?? I've never seen them, so can't comment. I had to have these fitted, to continue my pics of advertising Northumberland during the winter

I haven't seen the steelies either, well not for the E89, BMW do them though although I only came across them when looking for winter wheels for my previous 1 Series but ended up with their 16" alloys and Dunlop winter runflats package. Makes all the difference though and if you have to drive in the snow completely takes away all the stress and potential pitfalls :)

So what's the location for the latest pics?
I guess it's a nature reserve on the site of an old colliery but I don't recognise it :headbang:

I run Blizzaks on my Landy and my A6.... you have awesome tires on there, don't overdo it ....

Will try and get a pic tomorrow.

Took it out for a quick test and felt rather spongey on a couple of roundabouts! :o

I was going to say from down here on the Isle of Wight " What's snow ? " then I remembered :

View of our back garden a couple of years ago :x

Good to hear about your winter tyres - had a 4 wheel slide yesterday afternoon - greasy road though - the stability system cut in and a bit of corrective steering and all was corrected and back on track quickly but made me think about taking the winter tyre route when the bad weather comes (this week?)

:driving:
