Brick and mortar dust

My inconsiderate neighbour has building works going on and yesterday they were cutting out mortar with an angle grinder and it was raining. The resultant yellow fog has left round white marks on the body after I washed off the dust. Any suggestions for sorting it? Is it burn marks as I read something about the hot metal from the grinder?
Thanks

Hi, it's possibly lime from the mortar, get it washed & polished asap to minimize the damage, it's annoying but little the neighbour could do if the work was necessary?

The neighbour could've knocked and advised the op to move his car if possible.

A cutting compound of some sort should work. I'd have a word with the neighbour and let them know to tell you next time, as it's a bit inconsiderate.

Our neighbours had building work last year, the builders started off demolishing the old garage ,I had to stop them and make them put boards up to stop rubble coming through the hedge. Then I had a word about the dust and ended calling the environmental part of the council, they visited and made them use dust suppression which is a legal requirement for builders. I did say to my neighbour, but he seemed a bit scared to say anything to them ??
Call the council and make some noise, be a pain in the arse, you don't want your property damaged
