Braking bias front / rear?

What's the braking bias set to on the Z4M? Reason I ask is that I need some new pads. Usually, in previous cars' I opt for a very good pads upfront and stick with OEM or slightly better than OEM rear as the rear does little braking compared to the front. I imagine that he Z4M will be different though?

Car is mainly used for weekend hoons with the occasional trackday thrown in. What pads would you guys recommend front and rear?

I use EBC BlueStuff NDX all round, as a jack of all trades pad. It's meant as a track/competition pad, but I've had no issues in day-to-day driving.

Would like to try some RS29 or such, but can't justify the price, considering I get a very good price on EBC pads (about £110 for a 4-wheel set) for being a motorsport marshal (discount obviously for personal use only).

Also hear some good things about Performance Friction pads.

I use EBC yellow for the same application/usage as you and they have been fantastic - both up front and rear. Serious stopping power and get better the hotter they get.

No idea on the braking bias as such - but for the prices (as long as they are not RS29!) then just get the same all round!

I had blue stuff pads on my old MR2 and thought they were decent. May give them a try. Where is the best place to purchase them from? Are we pad wear sensors required when changing pads?

You don't need new brake pad sensors unless you've already triggered the brake warning light. If you replace them before the sensor triggers, say at half wear, then the brake warning light will be left ON after you install your new pads but it will reset by itself after a few days of normal driving. I've done it on mine.
