My calipers are looking a bit tired so I am thinking of sending them for a refurbishment/repaint. Has anyone any experience with BCS? or can you recommend alternative company. I don't want to upgrade as with some Blue Stuff pads I love em and they look the part. Cheers

Thanks Guys, got a quote from biggred, now waiting for BCS.

[ref]Nick W[/ref], did you get this done in the end? Any before and after photos?

I’m just thinking of bitting the bullet and sending off my new 3.0 si F&R calipers to either SSL (The brake specialist, on eBay) £295 w 18mth warranty. Or BCS for £320 w lifetime warranty plus my postage to them.

Does anyone have any feedback on SSL?
Big red don’t offer the service now, only kits they said.

Also as I have good used blue stuff front pads, presumably I really need to get the same for the rears?

Yes, had them done by Big Red in the new year. Came back better than new and work better than ever I've Known. Friends say the black looks boring but the Z brakes ain't fancy enough to show off in my opinion so they can just hide away and do their job. I didn't know about the changes at Big Red but since I used them almost everyone recommends BCS. Didn't take any before photos but here's one of the non genuine one I took off and the others were all in similar condition. I use blue stuff all round no probs, I put new pads on the front so popped some new disks on but the rears are the old pads and discs, works fine 👍
