Brake compliance bushes. Any ideas???

I ran a search and cant find a thing.

Following my recent service I was advised that the front brake compliance bushes are worn. Any ideas as to what these are and what they do?????

Are they not just the control arm bushes? (Bushes number 1 on the Powerflex diagram)

When mine went it caused the wheel to move about too much under braking, hence my thinking it could be a different name for the same part?

Been away, better late than never? Just guessing here, don't really know, maybe Part #8, "Guide Bush Repair Kit"? (6 is the guide bolt, 7 is the dust plug) Allows caliper to "comply" to rotor variations? Worn FCABs are common enough that they would have called them as such?

Control arm bushes also known as brake basied bushes. Common problem about £40 plus hour labour to fit powerflex.If you can move your wheel horizontaly from front to back than that's a classic sign of the bushes gone .
