Brake Callipers - M140i > Z4?

I was wondering if anyone had modernised the look of the callipers by fitting the newer style blue bmw oem callipers to the e89, or is this even possible?

I was toying with the idea as part of next years wheel refurb.

I know some people have fitted the BBK oem set, which do look good, but I am not sure the yellow colour would work on mine!

See pic below
(Pic found online, I haven't actually purchased any yet!)

Yep I have them on my 35i Deepsea, very very good upgrade in terms of feel and performance, they feel harder than stock single pot calipers..

Interesting, is it just a straightforward swap?

Or does anything need to be fabricated or modified?

Player 1 did this mod (John E89 has his ex car)..

Topic is here https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110562

One point that no one yet here has addressed is the need to reporgram the DSC unit which is what BMW does whem it does its BBK upgrades!

Quite what parameters should be adjusted and with what settings seems to be a mystery to me..

I've not played with it... I'm hoping in my case when I finally fit my 35is rear brakes that it will balance the front BBK in some mysterious way..
