Braided brake lines.....how many????

Hi All,

Quick question for those in the know.....I have sitting here a set of braided brake lines from Goodridge.
2 front lines
2 rear lines

HEL brake lines list every Z4 except the M, as 6 lines, 2 front, 4 rear.

Is the M different, or are Goodridge not actually supplying a full set???
If the M isn't different, has anyone fitted a set of HEL lines to the M??

Thanks!!!

At the rear there is a piece of pipe between the two hoses. It can be removed and replaced with a single hose but has to be made up to dimensions. There's a thread somewhere with the specs.
It's cheaper with one hose too. Take a wheel off and have a look.

OK

The rear hosts I have are very short, so I assume that the other hoses are missing from the goodridge kit.

I'll be sending it back later!!

Thanks!!!

Some information in this thread where I fitted the longer hoses to mine.

Spec is there too from Stu, although I changed it slightly for mine. If you go onto the HEL site and under 'custom' all will codes make sense

All you really need to do is take a look under the rear of your ///M and measure end to end of what size you want and that the basic layout is no different to the non ///M

Thanks ck10jeeper

Whats throwing me is that on real oem:

Pipe 5 seems to be M specific, and that makes me a little nervous!!

Any thoughts??

Ta!

Take the old ones off and take them to somewhere like Norton hydraulics brum or find your nearest Pirtek. Norton hydraulics in brum will probably charge you less that £50 for all of them

As above or pick up the phone to HEL and ask. Such companies live this stuff and I doubt there is any question or fitment they haven't seen many times.

I thought they were the same for all models. Can't see any difference on RealOEM. I've not had rears made up yet but will be converting to a single line at the rear when I do.
