I don't think Boyd was so bad compared to other people on that show. The major asshole is Duane IMHO.
What Boyd had was he was very demanding always making people work like slaves to finish his impossible deadlines.

But then again, ask yourself, how much of that is real, and how much of that is just a show for the TV program to attract more people??
Let's face it, if there were no harsh deadline to meet, then there would be less excitement & tension, and probably less people would watch the show. And there has to be an asshole that everybody can hate/adore depending upon their personality.
Problem with such a 'recipe' for a successful series is that they have overdone it, so it's getting kind of annoying having to watch episode after episode where continuous impossible deadlines have to be met. And then multiply that with the amount of Reality shows out there.
No wonder I don't follow any of these series, just watch casually once in a while if I happen to catch one in my limited TV time.
