Boot roof/luggage divider

Apologies if this is the wrong name but does anyone know if the boot divider is one big part or if the clips on the bar are a separate part?

One of mine is broken and the dealer has agreed to replace but I want to make sure they get the right thing...

As below it looks like a previous repair failed.

Would be great if anyone knows the right name and part numbers...

Cheers!

I was told these are no longer available or manufactured and a repair was the only way forward.

You can see here

The part is not listed separately.

Looks like it's superseded by another part number?

You might be right Rob, but they were adamant (not the singer) that it was not available.

Are you saying that they wouldn't stand & deliver? :P

Simplest fix do as I did. Some cheap carriage bolts from Wilco and drill out and bolt back together.
Problem is as always a poor design. When the cover is pulled forward it puts a load on the rivets, which then breaks the plastic.
Seems if you use your roof a lot, then they will all eventually break.

BMW did change the design of this cover on later models but I'm not sure if this was to improve it or make it cheaper to produce, or perhaps to reduce weight. The cover on my 2010 E89 was much more rigid and felt more robust than the relatively flimsy one fitted to my 2015 model. Having said that I've not had a problem with it - so far!
