Boot Lid - Pop Up

Anybody know if I can fit more powerful gas springs to the boot lid so it pops all the way up when I press the button?

Not sure but take a look at the design of the hinge and all the hardware.....I just wonder how the Germans lost the war. :? They design and engineer the simplest of things and then document the shite out of it all.

I know what you mean about the trunk lid. I took for granted this feature on my e60 and didn't realize how great it was until I got my e85.

I believe it doesn't pop up on these for a reason - so you don't accidentally pop it and block your rear view. Another cool feature, if you leave it unlatched and notice after you've started driving, you can use the throttle (and downforce) to latch it again.

I will have a liik for aftermarket gas springs that I could use to make it lift up fully.
I'm in the US soon and figure it would be good to take advantage of the low $ and get sone stuff there.
