Guys,

Just tried to open my bonnet and for some reason, it will not open on the one side (near side). :(

Any suggestions please....

As its an AUC and I've only had it for 3-months would this be under the warranty?

Cheers............R

Yes it will be under warranty.

In the interim you can press gently down on the corners (assuming 2 catches) and have someone operate the release. That shoudl do it.

Dealer then needs to lubricate the mechanism.

Thanks for that....

It's now open.... however, the catch now won't close and so the bonnet will only close securely on one side.

A call to roadside assistance in the morning?

cheers.......R

thanks - tried that... I can push the catch down with a screwdriver but won't lock.

would this be something roadside assist sort as have a m-way journey on Tuesday and not sure it's that safe...

Glad you opened it. Catch just needs some lube as then perhaps adjusting slightly.

Don't think you could expect roadside assistance for a bonnet catch while at home, but good luck

I'm assuming only one side lock isn't safe to drive that far......

I could drive to the office in the morning and give it a try.

cheers again!

Well it has one catch secure and a safety catch too, so it's not going anywhere. Just be careful not driving too fast to overly flex and stress it.
