Bonding session

I do miss the odd drive around this time of year with the roof down but the first hard frost last night and it was nice to be able to actually get into the car this morning instead of it being frozen shut! :P

Speaking as an e89 forerunner/pioneer, I have a feeling the many new seemingly perfect cars are in for a similar fate to mine, as they age, the issues start creeping in with build quality. Just do what I've always been told Carol... turn up the stereo!

I think you may be right my now 5 month old car did the dancing window thing last week which I thought had been resolved but on the plus side no rattles yet , that being said i still get enjoyment from driving it and as for the looks

I've had not one problem with mine apart from the connector block for the sport button come adrift.
(Had a few caused by the stealer on my other car)

Anyway stop ruining our egg recommendation thread with car talk! :D

Me and the car bond every day on our journey. Our little journey to and from work as we go past idiots, be cheeky to get in to lanes and basically just look super cool! 8)

I'm having a slightly twisted anti-bonding session with mine, by deliberately not cleaning it to see how dirty I can get it. I want to see if I can survive the whole winter without washing it (it's white). The master plan being when I do eventually clean it after ages of it will look like new and I'll fall in love with my car all over again!

Waiting for the noise of certain people fainting when they read that. :D

Do it!! My wife taught me a lesson there. She drives a Pepper White MINI Cooper S she bought in 2008 and she never, and I mean NEVER cleans it!! The only time it gets cleaned is if either I use it or it goes to the dealers. During the winter she uses it every day, never cleans it, come summer and it goes into the dealership for something it comes back looking better than my Z4 used to after I cleaned it every week and could hardly use it in the winter!! Also her paintwork had less marks on it than my car!!

I'm planning on doing similar with my Evoque!! I've cleaned and waxed it and I will clean it again come spring time!!.... I bet I don't last !! :P

I know I myself am (or used to be) a detailing freak. However, time to shake things up a bit :) I head up to Shropshire every couple of weeks from surrey for client meetings, and with a nice long drive up on Monday I'm hoping for lots and lots of dirt on my car, fingers crossed :D

Yes I'm determined. I will Hoover the inside etc but the outside stays dirty! And about the paintwork, yes this is so true, my old neighbour had a black Mercedes which was new but never cleaned, whenever I did rarely see it clean the paintwork was immaculate!
