Not seen it mentioned on here, but just a heads-up that the BMWCC Welsh Region are holding their annual weekend this coming 4th and 5th May. There will be a bit of an ALPINA display on Saturday (both of mine will be there, weather permitting!) along with some other nice machinery. If anyone fancies a poke around it's at The Metropole Hotel Llandrindod Wells starting on Saturday at 10:30 IIRC. They have a scenic drive planned for the following day through Llandovery, Lampeter, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth (with a seafront pic opportunity planned) and up and back through the Elan Valley.

Anyone coming from here come say 'hi' :D Worth a look-see just for the nice drive to Llandod!

Was thinking of attending the tour/meet (not the AGM), but thought there'd be either too many cars to enjoy the drive (e.g. people getting lost, or stuck behind lorries).

We won't be attending the AGM, either.

As regards the drive, and knowing the area pretty well, the number of lorries will be lower than usual due to the Bank Holiday. Sundays are fairly quiet lorry-wise, anyway around here. As for people getting lost: unlikely on this route as there are so few turn-offs on the route as it's main road all the way to the Elan. The more-annoying factor is that there are 2 'temporary roadwork' setups on the A487 between Llanrhystud and Aberystwyth (and they've already been there for months...), and they will probably split the tour group both times. We're not doing the drive, either, as we do most of it either daily or weekly, but attending a Classic Car Meet on the Sunday in Cardigan.
