BMW z4 2004 3.0 Serpentine belt/ AC belt

Hi guys

any of you changed the serpentine belt and Ac belt on z4 3.0?
I found a lot of forum posts about this but nothing good. I also found a video about a guy doing this on a z3 but on z4 the radiator cover is very hard to remove.

Any guide will be appreciate it.
 
Yes I have

Jack the car up, front only drop it on to axle stands

Remove the front under tray

Then you can do it all from under the front

A.c. belt comes off first

It's a very easy job

In that link you will have the mechanical tensioner.


Once you have moved the tensioner and flicked the belt off it's just a mater of putting your new belt on

I take it your replacing the tensioner as well?

As he said remove the shroud under the car. I like to take a picture. That way if you unsure of wich way the belt mounts You will need a large torx maybe t45 or t50. for one or the other tensioners. Remove the ac belt first then you can access the serpentine belt. It's pretty easy and there's lots of room. I bought a continental belt and it has held up well for the year I've had it.
