I wouldn't mind if it was an Alpina brolly, but you can probably still down a few Cappucino's and cakes whilst you're waiting !

Looks more like a baiting tactic to me. This is really to get expensive service trade in.
Most checks you could prob do yourself.

Call me a cynic but for 25 quid i'll pass on that flimsy looking brolly, make my own coffee and cake and do my own checks.

Definitely a bait tactic. They want you in there to find more work.

But if I had a free afternoon on a rainy day, I can think of worse things to do than take the daily drive in there, and let them clean it, whilst I take the coffee, cakes and brolly and surf on their internet. - Especially if your company maintain the car and pick up the tab...

You just bin the report if you're confident your cars OK.

Well that's interesting as the T&C's say they will credit you the value of the umbrella if not in stock, so therefore £25 - £38 = +£13 credit, so they would actually be paying you £13 to clean your car for you !
