Several years ago, I had purchased a BMW TIS Program CD, Version 2004 for my E36. Not knowing what else was contained in the CD, a couple of months ago I began browsing through the CD, and realized that it contained much more information than I had thought. There are basic instructions for removing, repairing practically all of the components of the selected vehicle, as well, as diagnosing common problems, along with a listing of the possible repair remedies. The best thing about the program is that each item viewed can also be printed out. Currently, I have comprised a comprehensive TIS binder of my printed pages. I had noticed members in various BMW forums posting pictures of printed specific TIS repair instructions.
All in all, I have found that this CD was very, very valuable while working on my E36, E83 & Z4. In fact I just used it at obtaining the factory measurements utilized to the determining the placement and position of the side engine emblems.
