The vehicle could short circuit and catch fire .Manufactured between 2019 and 2022 the fire is related to to a problem with the starter the relay it may corrode causing the relay to over heat and short circuit. One of the models is the Z4 the recall also includes the Supra
The letters are supposed to be going out on November 14.
To find if your car is to be recalled you have to look on the NHTSA website There is a phone No. 1-800-525-7417 but I have no idea where this is
 
A 1-800 number will be in North America - it's their equivalent of an 0800 number in the UK.

But quite a few of the recalls over there don't extend to Europe - we aren't as litigious!

DVLA should be able to tell you if your car has an outstanding recall.
