Over on M3 cutters.

Nothing to do with me, happened to spot them while peering in there for wheels and I know there has been talk on here quite a bit recently about these seats.

Not cheap mind.

When these first came out, you could buy the plain old Recaro version (i.e. No heating or airbags) for less than £500 each.

Now, the plain Recaro ones retail for £1k each, so these are a bit of a saving considering they've got the side airbags and heating element.

New from BMW, these are now almost £4k.
 
4k is ludicrous for a pair of seats. I'm surprised people don't make replicas like they do for alloys

Can't think of who in their right mind would want to have replica seats.
 
Probably the same people that buy replica alloys!?

As long as decent materials were used I'd certainly consider them.

I'd love a set, they seem to hold their value, so can justify the cost... but i would want to retrim them in leather, not a fan on alcantar.
 
lovely but not worth the money considering how nice the Sport Seats are on a Z4.

Z seats are one of the best looking seats BMW ever put in a car

The so called 'sports' seats are not very good at holding you in when you're pressing on though.

Sit up straight and tighten your belt :poke: Its no rally harness but unless you're below a certain height/size, there's nowhere to go anyway so I've never had any issues.

I 'lock' my belt when I'm on a spirited drive, by moving the seat back a little, tugging on the belt to lock it, and then moving the seat back into position.

However, it's the upper body that moves around and this locking (or a CG-Lock) doesn't do anything for that.

One of my future purchases will be a Pole Position ABE (or similar) in champagne & black alcantara/suede and/or leather.
 
Already got some and they're very comfortable

I've had cars with 4 points in and they are awesome, you can really feel the car when driving. But they are a massive pain, leaning forward at junctions doesn't happen an twisting to look behind you is a neck only job.

I don't know about those seats. The Z4 Sport seats are really nice! Not sure I'd switch. Definitely not for £2k.
